In the winter season, the ski-ing area of the four valleys encompass Verbier, Veysonnaz, Nendaz and Thyon-Les Collons and they are on your doorstep. Drive 3 minutes to one of several lifts nearby at Les Collons or Piste de L’ours and enjoy everything the area has to offer with over 220 kilometres of slopes and top rated snow parks. We recommend not buying the full area for your whole stay – just get Printse. You can always up grade if you want to go further afield at Siviez. It’s just not worth buying the full area as there’s loads to do in the surrounding area.

For an indication of ski lift pass prices go to   These can be bought when you arrive.  You also do not need to organise ski rental before arrival but many prefer to do so to reduce time spent sorting it out.  You can find these shops near the ski lifts in the centre of Les Collons.


The Ecole du Suisse is one of the best ski schools in the world.  Lessons can be booked when you arrive but we recommend booking beforehand.  Ski school meets at Thyon which you can drive to or take the lift to.  We recommend parking at Piste de L’ours and taking the gondola up as its straightforward for beginners and the parking is free.

Etaegeon – there is an un-pisted ski route run down the valley towards Heremeance. Accessed from double button lift Greppon Blanc (the left hand button lift) on the way to Combatseline. You have to hike up 20 metres or so behind the lift to ski down the other side. There’s a small van selling Vin Chaud and Raclette at the bottom. The bus is free and picks skiers up hourly.
